Security thread: The middle line of squares on banknotes is known as the security thread. The feature will appear as though it has been printed or painted upon on a phony note.
Formatting: Each currency note has a string of digits running through it. If the note is phony, it may be determined by looking at the figures’ sizes, alignment, and gaps. The note is fake if the numerical figures are not equal or are not aligned well.
Typography and microlettering: On a fake banknote, the words “Reserve Bank of India” will stand out as being thicker. Another hint to look for is the little letters that are placed between Gandhi’s picture and the text. It will be necessary to use a magnifying lens to examine the word consistency and spacing.
Regional languages and Devanagari: The denomination will be printed in Devanagari and will be smaller and printed in white in English at the note’s border. The denomination will be written in fifteen Indian languages on the reverse.
Printing that is raised or etched such that it is tactile is known as intaglio printing. The Ashoka Pillar symbol and the currency’s number printed in a little circle above the image are the most famous intaglio prints on banknotes.
